death's sickly sweet smile gazed upon me
caught in the thunderous waves of the sea gasping for sweet air, I did not pray embracing lifelessness was my pay for laughing so mirthlessly with glee in black sunken eyes I saw his tree hangman's noose, he caught me merrily the rope tightens on this breathless day death's sickly sweet smile my devilish lover sets me free shows dismal grace in chained liberty I twist and fall, this path gone astray fumbling, seeking only to play this gruesome game ends unhappily death's sickly sweet smile laughing mirthlessly 6 october, 2006 Rondeau form
