Halloween Creatures

This will be my last item I will write about Halloween. I was reading my husband's e-mail he gets about what's new in the science world and they wrote about spooky Halloween creatures. I decided to write my own views.

Bats. They are so annoying and they fly at night and you always associate them with Halloween. They make crazy noises and a young girl of ten in the county I work at got rabies from a bat. We have bats at the old county home I work at and I will be careful not to encounter them! A rabies scare isn't anything that I want to encounter. Vampire bats will bite you in the neck but they live in Africa and they aren't around here. If one of these bite you, you won't turn into a vampire.

Vampires. The Walking Dead. I think of Barnabas and Dracula. They come out at night and drink blood. Do they live in Transylvania and live to be centuries old? I have heard that there are modern day vampires{They think they are vampires} who drink blood from meat and some sleep in caskets. I love to read vampire stories by Anne Rice and watch old vampire movies. They look human and harmless but they will bite you!

Witches. I feel sorry for all the women accused of witch craft years ago and were hung and burned alive at the stake. These women probably knew of herbs that could cure an illness and when they did, they were accused of witch craft. People were so scared and believed in the dumbest things years ago. If someone really was a witch, that person wouldn't allowed theirself to be killed. They would have flew away or something. I like the shows like Charmed, Bewitched and Sabrina. These are the good witches. They don't wear pointed hats, have green warts and ugly noses. They are beautiful and do good deeds. Tabitha of Passions is a funny witch and Angelique of Dark Shadows was a beautiful, evil witch but she was in love with a vampire and doing evil things, well she thought that she would be able to make him her own. I don't believe in witches but I like stories about them.

Gargoyles. You see statues of these on the Cathederals of New York. They act like rain gutters and they protect the Church from evil spirits. I once saw a movie about gargoyles. They lived in caves and flew around. I would like to think that they are good creatures if they were real.

Ghosts. Spirits with unfinished business. I feel sorry for them. I do believe in them. We have a ghost where I work at. I have never seen him but one girl who worked there did. He turns lights off and on. He made paint cans spin around, runs water in the bathroom and other strange noises. I am not scared. I have been working there 20 years and he is harmless.

Halloween. All Hallows Eve. I hope everyone has a good one and you see any creatures besides bats, let me know.
