Yesterday's Promises Promises made should be promises kept. That's the way it should be, But yesterdays promises are easily broken, Or so it would seem to me. Don't make a promise you cannot keep, It will break some child's heart. Breaking a promise made to a spouse Can tear a marriage apart. Not keeping promises made in haste To a very close, dear friend, May be the only fault of yours That causes the friendship to end. There's only one promise I'll ever make To others and God above; They have their own room deep in my heart, And I'll give them all of my love. For, when you love fully, with all your heart, You give God and others first place. Remember this one important fact; A promise; impossible to erase.
