WHAT THANKSGIVING IS ABOUT

So many tend to ignore
what Thanksgiving is really for.
A time to praise God for all we've been given,
not just feasting on turkey, ham, or chicken.

Thanksgiving means so much more,
a time to praise the blessings galore
that God has blessed us with,
his love, our families, and all other gifts.

Thanksgiving is a day when all should rejoice,
to sing of our blessings, a time to voice
the love and respect felt for everyone and everything,
to thank God Almighty for the blessings he does bring.

Thanksgiving is about coming together,
of undying love nothing can sever,
a time to treasure all in which we've been endowed.
That's what Thankgiving is all about.
