Thought Process (A woman on my mind)
Rated: ASR | Poetry | Romance/Love | #117233
I think we all have someone we wonder about.
I wake to thoughts of her.
She sees the sun when I see the stars.
I look to the sky and wonder why,
she has to be so far away.
Heart reaches out to touch her there,
mind and body wishes for her here.
Does she think of me
or am I another passing car.

My day goes on envisioning her face,
my day goes on drifting in space.
Mind wanders to her distant side,
body goes along for the ride.
Eyes closed, what's she dreaming about,
these feelings, make me shout,
above the clouds, above the rain
"Does she feel the same?"

As the day turns to night,
loneliness I have to fight.
Does she know about the echoes
that empty hearts make?
My thoughts turn to dreams,
love turns to unbridled screams.
My eyes close on darkened skies
as my love sings me lullabies.
