TO THE END OF MY DAYS
Sometimes we just need to stop and thank God for Life!

TO THE END OF MY DAYS

I stopped one day by the water's edge,
watching the ripples there in the stream;
I felt the peace as the cool water soothed
all the memories of an unfinished dream.

I stopped one day and looked at the sky,
watching the clouds as they drifted along;
I felt the peace as infinity opened to me
and my heart nearly burst with a song.

To the end of my days I will praise Him
for giving me life and being by my side;
I felt the peace that comes from believing
that in Heaven's glory one day I'd abide.

I stopped one evening on my way home,
watching people hurrying to pass me by;
I felt the peace of just taking a moment
to let go and let God reason the why.

I stopped one morning to smile at a baby,
whose innocence shone in his eyes,
I felt the peace that comes from creation
of a child in His image, smaller in size.

I stopped one day as I saw an old man
carrying roses to his wife's resting place;
I felt peace coming with understanding
that with His love always comes grace.

Many a time I have stopped to listen
to God's message, in so many ways;
Butterflies and deep golden sunsets;
for these, I will always give Him praise.

To the end of my days, I'll give Him praise;
Yes, to the very end of my days!
