The Birthday Party …
Billy’s birthday party? It will be such fun! Let’s invite his whole class! He’s our only son! Lots of second graders coming in my door. Lots of muddy foot prints walking on my floor! Children in the hallway. Children on the stair. Children screaming wildly. Children everywhere! Children throwing popcorn! Children on the run! Tell me what you're thinking. Are they having fun? Standing on the table, bouncing on the couch! Maybe I should stop them ... hate to be a grouch. Children spilling grape juice. Children eating cake. Children dropping ice cream. What a mess they make! What made me decide to have the party here? When the kids all leave, I’m gonna need a beer! rhyming couplets 11-11
