Don't Step on the Cracks
Growing up we spent our lives slipping in and out of cracks just 'cause our daddy loved his dives. Growing up we spent our lives somehow managing to survive while covering the devil's tracks. Growing up we spent our lives slipping in and out of cracks. (The triolet is an eight-line poem which originated in France in the thirteenth century. It has a rhyme scheme of ABaAabAB, with the first line repeated as lines four and seven and line two repeated as line eight.)
