behold, buffoon!
A Rondeau form poem about love which has ended

the icy night chills the full moon
its warmth as distant as Neptune
my hands search for your tenderness
in the absence of your caress
bitter tears of great misfortune

at the edge of a calm lagoon
overflowing grief, life's monsoon
dare I plunge to end this duress?
the icy night chills

my lone heart endures your typhoon
from agony, is not immune
the fierce winds blow, will not suppress
this burning desire to profess
my moonstruck love... behold, buffoon!
the icy night chills

behold, buffoon!
