Sunflowers (edited version)
Sunflowers....

A sunflower stands tall in a meadow,
the sun glistens through
a haze of fog.
I can hear the angels sing
like the trumpet of a
morning glory flowing
in the breeze.
I'm lifted far above clouds
that are silky soft
from the morning dew
that lay upon their delicate petals.
They can see the horizon
and beyond.
Sunflowers reach
for the never-ending skies.
Butterflies flutter
with anticipation,
Bees have a song
all their own.
Sunflowers in the meadow,
that seek out a life
that follows the days.
And nights
where they fall into a slumber.
I am a sunflower.
