THANKFUL

I’m thankful for so many things,
for treasured memories this day brings,
in knowing my mother wears Angel’s wings,
with undying faith, how my heart sings.

I’m thankful for God’s unconditional love.
There are many things I’m appreciative of.
Hearts and minds that fit together like hand to a glove,
a song is issued to praise the Almighty above.

I’m thankful for the family bestowed upon me,
For knowing that some things are meant to be,
others merely a part of my history,
and some to be left a mystery.

I’m thankful that God resides in my heart,
has given me strength when I was falling apart.
The knowledge He’s been there from the start,
and the numerous things I can impart.
