they burn buses
another woman is trapped inside dying later, hospitalized with severely charcoaled- to-a-crisp skin, or smoke asphyxiation …they don't wonder if the people riding these suburban busses don't live in their slums - parents of friends? - before heaving the Molotov cocktail to do its destruction… they don't think, unfeeling, about anything beyond what they deem their own misfortune… who wears hundred dollar Nikes, and defines misery? the dead woman? her family indebted for life paying the bills? trapped inside 9 november, 2006 [2006.9.11…a] (Pi Poetry form Daily Winner of the Writer's Cramp) Author's Note: The latest creation of free violence in France is burning busses, without taking the time to let all of the passengers get off before throwing in the home-made bombs. The perpetrators of these acts are teen-agers.
