ALONE
( A poem for Cathy)

The sky looks down on the earth below,
The birds fly about...nowhere special to go,
The trees sweep and sway, the wind it will blow,
And I sit here alone

The sky has grown dark, clouds gather above,
The birds are all gone, the lark and the dove,
The trees have all stilled, no breezes of love,
And I sit here alone

Night has now fallen, I can't see the birds,
The trees are all shadows,...whispering words,
My love has appeared...my cries he has heard,
And I'm no longer alone.
