MY LETTER BOX

I'm getting old --or older I mean,
I"ve done silly things -- and I have been seen!
Like looking for the phone while I'm ringing a friend,
I told her and she thought I was 'round the bend!
I'VE DONE THIS!

Told my son once he could borrow my car,
He said that he needed it and wouldn't go far.
"I'll be using it now for a while, Do you mind?
But I'll leave the keys here for you to find".
I'VE DONE THIS!

I was watching a movie on T.V. one night,
The power went off with the climax in sight.
I'll never know now who did that foul crime,
( I've got it on video -- Should I watch it some time?)

Son's looking for letters I'd put somewhere away,
I remember I had them in the car , one day.
" They're out in the letter box", I called from afar
Well, the glove box is where letters go in the car!
I'VE DONE THIS!

Each time I make faux pas like this, and I'm seen,
My kids write them down in a book that is green.
They call it my "LETTER BOX BOOK" and they say ---
When I fill it all up --- They will put me away!
I HAVEN'T DONE THIS -- yet!
