 "The After Party..."
...and then they went back to work.

The After Party...........

It had been almost a year since they began the record label. Things were tough in the beginning, but it had finally paid off. The endless hours of reviewing music, talking to venue owners, bands and other labels had almost taken it's toll several times. But they stayed at it, determined to make it a success.

This night was special........ Their first band, taken from a smokey honky tonk in Bandera finally had a break. A small, nobody band from Kerrville was now on it's way to the top. It was a tremendous effort on their part to get them booked in the posh One World Theater in Austin. Here, many known acts had played to intimate crowds of only 400 at ticket prices of up to $200 per seat. Being a cross between James Taylor and Lynard Skynard, the band drew an eclectic, standing room only crowd. Media was everywhere, and the show went off without a hitch. All the band members played there hearts out, never missing a note and hitting it all on key. The two standing ovations and return to the stage guaranteed great press Sunday morning. We couldn't wait.

After the show, all the VIP's, road crew, production folk and radio station programming directors were invited to hang around for gourmet snacks, adult beverages of all kinds and some great interviews. I stood looking out over Barton Creek, the lights twinkling in the night.....the air on the patio clear, crisp and almost biting. I watched her glide from circle to circle, greeting and congratulating like an old pro. She had it in her blood.....and she knew it. Unfortunately, she was there with him. I watched through the glass as she made her rounds...... We had done it! We brought to life a dream that started over a year ago...... I couldn't bring my love for her to the surface, it would cause too many problems.

I saw her looking around......looking for something or someone. I'm hoping it's me. I stood outside taking it all in, sipping my scotch...nostrils burning from the cold night air. I was numb........ecstatic for the night we'd just witnessed. The validation of our work was laid out before me......the label would surely get the attention we were looking for.

One of the women from the venue surprised me as I stood on the veranda. "Why are you out here by yourself?", she asked. I told her I was just getting some air.....and taking in the moment. She asked if I was there with anyone, and I told her I was solo. "A shame", she said.....I could almost feel a bit of flirtation in her voice. "I'll be in shortly", I told her....trying to brush her off as gently as possible. She retreated back into the ballroom.

I continued to watch my gorgeous business partner buzz from group to group....I was so proud, so confident, so desiring her.......

I thought I'd better head in and make the rounds myself, I was getting chilly out here. I walked through the door, and all eyes turned toward me....smiles ensued, and when she came to me........grabbed my arm, a short round of applause for the two of us. "There you are", she whispered into my ear as we spun to accept the congratulatory clapping of the group. She squeezed my hand, leaned in and said again, "We did it!". I could feel her excitement....the buzz was, in itself, intoxicating. As everyone turned away to continue their conversations, I tuned to her and said, "How do you feel?". Her only reply was, "Tremendous!". Smiling from ear to ear, and her body language was as confident as I'd ever seen it. We were a team......inseparable, ready to conquer the independent music business.

"Do you realize how much we made tonight?", she asked. "That's not important", I said, "As we're doing something we love.......the money will come, in buckets!" We smiled, looked into each others eyes, and she turned and walked across the room. To him. My heart sank......but I knew that's what had to be. He'd been standing almost stoically by himself just about all evening....almost jealous of her instant celebrity. The smile fell from her face as I could see him say, "Let's go!"........

They walked slowly across the room where I was standing talking with several station directors, when I excused myself to find out what was the matter. Her face drawn, the smile retreated from only moments ago. "We're leaving", she said. I couldn't believe it, for the night was still young. She had the aura of a child whose favorite toy had just been yanked from her hands. "That's not necessary", I said......"The night's still young, a lot of celebrating yet to do.". "We have interviews to do.....this is extremely important." I said.

He was intent on leaving. I told him that I would make sure she made it home OK. Without a blink, he said, "fine"......and turned and walked out the door.

"Looks like it's just us", I said. She smiled and gave me a slight kiss on the cheek, and whispered "Thanks" in my ear.

After about another hour or so the crowd began to dwindle. The band had packed up all their gear, the interviews were complete and the limos parked outside had long gone. I looked across the room, and she was talking with the owners, still as radiant as earlier when I watched her through the glass.

We began to bid everyone a goodnight when the owners invited us up to their office on the third floor for a nightcap.

We took a small private elevator to the suite that was their business office. A plush, Texas rustic design that overlooked the million dollar homes spread out across the Texas Hill Country. It had a beautiful enclosed porch that was glass all around. Candles lit and wine on the table. Our gracious hosts sat with us for another hour and then said it was time for them to go. "Stay for a while if you wish", they said. "Thanks", came out of both our mouths almost simultaneously. We stood to say goodnight, and waved as the elevator door closed.

"Wow", I said. "What a nice couple". Very down to earth, and looking forward to our next event.

She sat across from me in a deep cushioned, plush chair...almost the size of a love seat. I was directly across from her in a Longhorn hide business chair. "Come sit with me", she said....holding out her hand, then scooting over and patting the thick cushion.

After the noisy excitement of the night, it was nice to be in the quiet confines of a secluded, stucco'd wall retreat. The glow of the candles, and gentle sounds of acoustic guitar coming from somewhere.... "What a great sound system", I said. "I don't even see the speakers.". The ambiance was just right.

Her blonde hair sparkled with each flicker of the candles....a confident, sultry twinkle in her eye. She wore a sleek, tan dress that was almost like smooth suede...boots zipped to just below the knee. Ear rings of gold glistened, accented with a bronze bracelet with turquoise RRR. An incredible sight......seeing all of this in an instant, as I moved from my chair to sit next to her.

I sat......the deep cushions engulfing me...causing her to slide next to me. My arm around her back and shoulders, pulling her close. Her head rested on my shoulder, a deep sigh ensued. We propped our feet on the ottoman, "What comfort", I said. She said nothing.

For what seemed hours, we sat and just held each other. Never saying a word......just taking it all in. My chin resting on her forehead, her arm across my chest. Her fragrance was incredible.....so feminine. The world was right.....for the moment. That's all I needed, I hoped it's all she wanted as well.

She raised her head and looked up at me, at the same time time, her fingers making circles on my chest through my shirt.......which she had secretly unbuttoned. I hadn't even noticed. The look in her eyes saw directly to my soul.......and touched it. Gently.

"I want you.......", she said. My heart skipped a beat. "I want you to feel me around you...I want to feel you inside me.", she said. She ran her hand down my chest and felt my hardness through my slacks. The excitement couldn't be put into words.......it didn't need to....not another word was exchanged.

She sat up and slowly removed her boots....the dress had a zipper that ran to her waist from the small slit that exposed her leg. She shifted the dress to expose the open side to the front, pulled it back......exposing the little satin thong she was wearing. Then she unlatched my belt, loosened the button and seductively let down the zipper in what seemed all one motion.

Never breaking eye contact, she reached in and grabbed my cock, exposing my excitement. I watched in awe as she mounted me and slowly pulled the panties aside and lowered herself onto me. I did nothing....simply reclining, and watching her every move. Her suede dress draped across us like a small blanket. The smell of leather was exciting....perfectly mixed with her perfume. Without moving, we laid there and felt each other......joined, joined almost in a cosmic way. I felt her squeeze me, again without any motion at all. Eyes locked, she leaned in to kiss me. Deeply.......eyes wide open. I could read every thought, feel every emotion. Incredible.

There was no wild trashing......no ups and downs. Only slow, gentle movements with the music still playing in the background. Dim light of the candles outlining our silhouettes against the tan stucco walls. I felt myself getting close.....almost there. She pushed herself down on me and stopped.......I began to feel her orgasm. It magnified as her breaths became shallow, sensual sighs began. Our subdued explosions began......tender, quiet, loving. I felt her wet dripping on me as I filled her slowly with my warm semen. She gasped as my warmth filled her.......and a deep, sensuous kiss followed. I felt her body collapse, exhausted, and spent on top of me. There she laid......holding me, caressing my neck.....face on my shoulder. I put my arms around her, and pulled her close......not wanting to let go. However, we both knew this time had to end.......back to reality soon. Another day.

Quietly, without a word, we gathered ourselves. Blew out the candles.....the music stopped as if on cue. We put everything back in place......not one bit of evidence of what had just transpired. We walked to the elevator and got in, looking back for one more glimpse as the doors slowly closed.

Once in the SUV, I put in a CD of the next band we were pushing........we began talking shop, as if nothing had happened.......not a word of our intimate evening was mentioned.

.........to be continued.

Thanks for reading.
