Please--NO NEW REVIEWS OR RATINGS. This piece is one I value as an early effort. I'm so grateful for the number of reviews it has already received since it was created in 2006. I keep it to show me how I started vs where I am now. Thanks for visiting and reading this piece. I'm always delighted to have new visitors. Just no more reviews or ratings. Thanks so much ! I will sleep at last When the earsplitting Cacophony of night creatures Dancing and singing in The meadow retreat. When waves, like cymbals Clashing against the rocks, Halt at last, gray and supine. I will sleep at last as night Now sleeps. Even the Truculent pine tree outside My window sways drowsily Releasing its needles, To night's swarthy slumber. Lulled by gentle winds Fingering the tall grasses. I will sleep at last. 11/06
