Entry for "POETRY IN RHYME - RHYTHM CONTEST-winner"
SOMEDAY The good shall fill their destiny To someday fly like the eagle, From the earth, the soul to be free, In that time called eternity, Then will soar the heaven's regal. ~ Those who are filled with hate and greed, Have futures already foretold, Never achieved a kindly deed, With a soul that’s not to be freed, Will live a lifetime that is cold. ~ But one day I too shall be gone, I hope I reach the heaven's gate, I do not know the road I’m on, Hope it's the one for ticket drawn; Thus in my mind, for God I wait. 11/16/06 Monty Rhymed Tetrameter. ABAAB scheme with 8 syllable line count.
