A bit more on myself I'm a very shy young woman from a town called Basildon in Essex, England. I work as a scanning operator, a job I am beginning to hate with more passion than I thought I was capable of! It's not so much the work but lack of it. We have one main job on my shift and I'm always waiting around for it. I bore easily. I basically shove all those little pieces of paper companies generate into a large scanner ( complete with it's very own gremlins!) so they can be stored on computer, eventually. On the bright side it gives me time to plot! The end results of which end up here. Not quite what I planned to do with my degree but at least there's no stress! I'm an easy going sort, much to the irritation of some folks who try and get a rise out of me. I started writing as an escape from bullying and life in general. I never tried to conform to the 'norm' whatever that is which meant I stood out. I don't know if I'm any good at it but I don't much care. It keeps me sane and easy going! I'm an insomniac, which is why I keep such strange hours here. (We're 5 hours ahead of WDC time in the UK. ) I hope you enjoy what I have to offer in my port, if not you can always review ! I drink real ale, smoke and limit my excercise to cycling to work. I never put on weight which allows me to sit here eating a cheesecake without having to worry. For this many a friend and family member hates me. I don't know why it's not like I won't share it! Interests Football, Soccer to some! I am a big fan of the game in general and of Manchester city and Dunfermline Athletic in particular. I get two teams, one from England, my birthplace and mother's country and one from Scotand, home and my father's country. I'll live there properly one day! In internationals it's always Scotland first. Films/ Movies Joaquin Pheonix's entire filmography! Okay, I haven't got them all yet but I'm working on it. I like a variety of films, though sci-fi, crime and action tend to be my main choices. I couldn't pick a favourite, I've tried but failed. Books / Reading My choices are varied; Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles, the Dragonlance series and I've just started reading Joe Dever's Lonewolf books again. I also like reading articles that make me think, or in judity's case act! I'd also highly recommend Josten Gaader, Sophies World is a great introduction to philosophy and The Solitaire Mystery is great for folk like me who don't fit in, we are the jokers in the pack, we can fit where we want without being confined by it! WDC is great for offering a variety of genres, all at the click of a button! Television I watch too much! I know I do. I'm watching it as I type this! I use it like the radio; for noise in the background when I'm online. I like forensic shows. I have done since I saw a programme in the eighties on the BBC. I was thrilled when they made CSI. I like all the Law and Order series, the Sharpe series though the books were better and am into Robin Hood at the moment, which has suprised me. I also like sci fi such as, Stargate, both SG1 and Atlantis, Firefly and Red Dwarf. Music Bon Jovi, I guess most folk visiting my port have guessed that one! I do like other things; Elvis, Ritchie Valens, Mozart and Adam Ant (Yes, I do admit it in public) to name a few. So long for now As the bit above says, that's about all I can think of for now, what more is there? This is more than I thought I'd do. I may add to it at some point, then again I might not! I hope I've been a distraction at the very least!
