If I promise to be good,
will you still let me stay? Will you still let me be me? Or will everything be reversed, like in the mirror? Will I have to hate who I love, and love what I hate? Will I have to throw away all my identity to stay? Will I have to become someone new? And what of her, she who cares for me, who loves me, who bore me? And what of her, whom you bore, whom you hate, the one you can cast off like a bad excuse? And what of her?
