Addicted
A poem on the hardship of a sports gambling addiction.

"I lost my football pool this week"
He said, with a sad frown.
Another loss like this one
Will tone his gambling down.

Last week he cried a different tune
When victory struck his score
Play by play and game by game
His points grew more and more

Addicted? Yes. I'll agree.
My boyfriend will concur
He says he'll stop next season
When he knows he'll win for sure.
