TWO HAVE OFFERED ALL.
Jesus and the Soldier. I will sleep tonight, without any fear with the thoughts of Christmas soon being here. You’ll try to sleep knowing danger is near, I owe you my freedom, to me that’s clear. I wish you the best a Christmas can bring and if I could, I would give anything. This prayer to God, I fervently cling, Oh Lord, end this war, let liberty ring. Watch over our Soldiers both day and night, please guide them safely with Your shining light. Lead them on a safe path with Your star bright, ‘til they once more have family in sight. These words to God are the best I can do, I have thought them out carefully for you. This is for all, who serve our country too, With these words I'm sending a true thank you. © 12/4/06 Monty Couplet 10 syllable line count.
