Linglestown
A song written in part about my past. It was an attempt to find my roots as a writer.

This item has no ratings.
You broke your soapbox underneath the weight of the television screen,
And the stars won't act their play until all of the glass is cleaned.
Oh Mom was right when she said don't walk alone to the grave,
But I just might die under the Willow tree's remains.

Oh the schoolyard was a brilliant place to contemplate
The shiny silver lining, Oh I used to love the way things were.
But playgrounds don't speak for themselves much anymore
beyond a creak in the wind.
Pretty soon it will be replaced by a friend.
