My thoughts would betray me
So I keep them to myself To be hidden forever Placed upon a shelf Even those close to me Who see what I’m about Barely see the many times I’d love to scream and shout My demons, my losses They are mine alone I share them with no one Else I turn to stone So I must be careful When I write my boasts Or they will see my mind has A Congregation of Ghosts
