A brand new life has entered this world,
A world that holds all joy and pain.
Born into our world is a sweet baby girl
And they've named her REBECCA JANE.

My dear ASHLEY JANE performed her task well
The task of a Woman and Mother.
The bond between mother and daughter will swell
and grow 'tween the two like no other.

Her birthday's the 7th. December '06
Eight pounds twelve, she's a bonny wee lass,
With features of Mummy and Daddy all mixed
Blue eyes and dark hair, she's all class.

They've settled her into her nursery of pink
And the invite's been sent to the throng
Come visit our baby and see what you think
For she won't be a baby for long.

We know Pop would have been up on cloud nine
Or perhaps that's just where he is,
Sending his blessing in a ray of sunshine
To our "Becky", he'd claim her as his.

She'll grow very quickly, as all babies do
Be loved by this family so proud.
But for now she's the one that is so brand new,
A Gift sent from God, and she's ours!
