Reflections of yesterday cannot be returned,
moments I couldn’t save, seemingly burned. If I could turn back the hands of time, I’d make every minute count, each one sublime. If I could make wishes come true, I would spend every waking minute with you. I will never forget all that you gave. How I yearn for the moments I couldn’t save! Sometimes I get angry because God took you from me, until summoning my faith and realizing it was meant to be. Those moments I couldn’t save still reside in my heart, and I know that we are never truly apart. I will not lie by saying I do not still feel empty within, that the moments I couldn’t save could be relived again. I know you’re sitting in Heaven waiting for me, that one day I’ll be beside you with you holding me.
