A poem for a fantasy manga made by my friend. I tried to make style fit the convention.
Hail the victorious
hail to thee
but blinded by pride beware
oh mighty lords of many battles
wrath of the gods by vain wrought
shall not spare even immortal elves

in ruin turn
their golden-roofed palaces
glistening like diamonds in sparkling mist
that rises from waters crystal clear
of river that run

under tangled-branch woods
bringing forgotten memories
of dread and horror
despise, despair

curse of tainted blood
undying whispers
cries of fear
sadly spent years
in endless solitude
young life fading
into ashlike sorrow
