Published in the January 2002 issue of Abstracts. A little jack rabbit went out one day Decided he'd go to the garden to play When he got there, he knew what to do He saw the carrots, so he ate one or two. The old farmer saw what the rabbit had done Decided that rabbits were not any fun Got down the snare and knew what to do-- Catch him a bunny for a tasty rabbit stew! "Please Mr. Farmer, I only wanted to play I was passing through, I didn't plan to stay Sorry about the carrots--it was only one or two Please don't put me in a tasty rabbit stew." The farmer had compassion and he said, "Run away-- Don't let me find you here another day 'Cause if I do you know just what you'll be-- Tasty rabbit stew, made especially for me!" So the rabbit took off as fast as he could run, Playing in the garden really wasn't very fun 'Cause it was too close--just for a carrot or two He almost ended up in a tasty rabbit stew!
