"No One Could Love Her More..."
DNA is not the only thing that makes a man a Dad. (Revised version)

He fed her and changed her
Kept her safe from all harm
Gently rocked her asleep
As she cuddled in his arms

"No one could love her--
As much as I do,"
He thought as he paced the floors
When she was sick with the flu

The first day of school came
And with a big smile
He watched as she danced away
Each step as a mile

"No one could love her--
As much as I do,"
He thought as he wiped at a tear
"Oh honey, I'll miss you"

He stood straight and tall
Gave the young man the eye
Said, "You better behave
Or I'll know the reason why!"

"No one could love her--
As much as I do,"
He thought as she kissed her mom
"She looks more and more like you"

"I hate you!" she cried
The day he said, "No!"
"You're not my father.
You know where to go!"

"No one could love her--
As much as I do,"
He thought and watched
As her tears and temper grew.

His heart broke--the day that she said,
"Get away from me--you're not my real dad
I'm out of here--there's nothing left to say
You can't stop me--stay out of my way."

"No one could love her--
As much as I do,"
He thought as she said
"I can't wait to leave you"

"Dad it's me...
Can I come home?
Living with Father
Makes me feel all alone"

"No one could love her--
As much as I do,"
He thought as he drove his car
To get his daughter--his Sue.
