COUNTDOWN HAD BEGUN
Oh hear the sound of laughter If only in your dreams, Your mind is where it matters, Shut out the painful scenes. ~ Remember leaving the church, Confetti in your hair, Near to tumble with a lurch, He caught you in mid air. ~ Then the sounding of car horns, Hearing cheers from your friends Upon the wind, once more born The wedding at an end. ~ The procession led by you, Your husband at the wheel, The others not far behind, They were close upon your heels. ~ You said ‘till death us do part, Then started a life’s run, Words from a faithful heart, The countdown had begun. 12/15/06 Monty
