HER WISH WAS GRANTED


Did you want a blaring headline
To which the world can all relate?
Or just a local story
Tucked away upon page eight?

Well, here's a little snippet
"bout some folk who sent a letter
To "MAKE A WISH FOUNDATION",
For a girl who'd not get better.

The Foundation grants the wishes
Of a child who is in pain,
And by this morning's paper
They've achieved that once again.

Chantelle is in a wheelchair,
And the day that she turned eight,
She flew off to the Gold Coast
To "Sea World" --- It was great

to see the smile upon her face
As dolphins jumped and swam,
And have a lump come to the throat
Of even the toughest man.

Thanks to the Hotel called "The Vale",
The Patrons and the Staff,
Who nominated dear Chantelle
And helped a little girl to laugh.
