mars black, the color of this sky, churns with a few dim stars solid ground brings stiff comfort to an aching back she'll return, someday bottles of blackberry merlot litter the ground I'll eventually throw it all away till then they remain symbols of the trash she left behind leaving a visible lesson to learn another chance should not be given yet when she comes back all will be forgotten, forgiven three chances isn't unreasonable only a few weeks pass she has come and gone again a heart once sewn back together lies in unsalvageable pieces someday I'll learn
