DAWNING
With knowledge comes dawn

This item requires reviews with ratings.

A storm approaches, and I close my eyes,
the pain within wears no disguise.
Darkness shrouds me, and tears begin to fall.
Has anything been left to me at all?

I try to recall happiness again,
try to forget what might have been.
A bright light shines upon me, into my eyes,
brings with it a dawning much to my surprise.

I find that I no longer feel all alone,
that I don’t have to bear the pain on my own.
God is with me, and holding my hand,
and that realization feels so grand.

The dawning came to finally free me.
Gone are the clouds and the misery.
A smile lights my face as I gaze up above,
with the knowledge that I have found real love.
