LADY RAIN

She'll make you feel like you belong,
if only for a while.
She'll help you forget all that's wrong,
she'll even make you smile.
Just one night within her arms,
will keep you wanting more.
She'll wrap you up with the warmth of her charms,
and trap you in her allure.

Lady Rain, she'll take you for a ride.
Lady Rain, she'll be right by your side.
But if you dance with her today,
don't expect to  ever stray.
Cuz Lady Rain, will steal your heart away.

She'll lift you up when you feel down,
but only till she's gone.
She's your bride in a gown of brown,
but you're not her only one.
But once she hooks you in,
there's no way to tell her no.
You'll tell yourself again and again,
that you have to let her go.
Until you hear that she's just around the bend,
waiting for you to come.
You just gotta run back to that long time friend,
run back to that smoking gun.

Lady Rain, she'll keep you warm at night.
Lady Rain, she'll make you feel alright.
But if you ever think to let her go,
you'll feel more pain than you want to know.
Cuz Lady Rain, won't let you tell her no.

Many years passed and you still play her game,
even though you'd sworn you'd stop.
Now you're lost and have nothing but shame,
you'll never get back on top.
You cannot blame her it's in her nature,
to build you up then tear you down.
It's not her fault that you lost your stature,
with the families and friends of your town.
But you still go to her to ease your pain,
even though she is the cause.
You chose to dance with Lady rain,
you chose to play and lost.

Lady Rain washed away your pain,
but on your life she staked her claim.
Lady Rain took more than she ever gave,
and now she'll take you to your grave.
