"The Inward Struggle"
Paint yourself into the frame Forget your color, forget your name Point no fingers, and lay no blame... For we are all in the end, the same When freedom is ringing, answer the call Shoulder to shoulder, we must stand tall When we stand united, we are better off... We prove it every time When we stand together peaceful and tall... Our unity is prime Can an inward struggle ever be won? Will it ever happen, and can it all be done? It is hard to say, but let us pray... That we might start anew today A new day starts with words at first... Encouragement to quench a tireless thirst Words and encouragement can go a long way... At least far enough to foresee a better day Some may justify war as taking a solid stand I still see no cause for killing fellow man The song is never yielding... And has been sung before I see no reason for fighting pointless war The end of a war starts with a single word Through the smoke and shrapnel, will the call be heard? -B.L. Houghtalin
