1 Peter 5:8
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour;

The Lion Roared

I heard the lion roar.
My heart froze within me,
And my knees began to knock.
I looked around and tried to find
Some way of escape.

The lion roared again;
He sounded so much nearer.
Then heard You softly whisper,
“Fear not, my child,
I’m standing by your side.”

Now when I heard his roar,
I feel no fear.
That old cat can roar all he wants.
He knows I’m Yours,
And You won’t let him touch me.
