"Moments I Couldn't Save..."
Every life is full of moments That you carry in your mind, Can you keep them? They will always be there for you You cannot leave them behind, Do you want them? If you keep those special moments That you’ve witnessed in your life, Will you know them? From your baby boy’s first footsteps Till the day he takes a wife, Will you need them? Every laugh and every giggle That your child has made each day, Will you hear it? Every tear and every sorrow, Every moment of dismay, Should you fear it? Should you find a box to hold them? Would you choose one the right size? Could you find it? Will the box be strong and sturdy? Every moment is a prize. Do you mind it? But I cannot save these moments, Only hold them in my heart, Still, I need them. I can’t save them, but I’ve LIVED them And my soul can now depart. YOU must keep them. 3-line stanzas meter: 8-7-4 12-28-06
