Baby Steps
Peeking at life

Peeking outside from behind my door,
Afraid to step forward, fear for what's instore.
Gun-shy from past memories,
Its hard to release this part of me.
Lessons hard to learn,
These prevent the happiness I yearn.
Over again I start anew,
Alone I prefer only because of you.
Insecurity dwells I can't forgive myself-
Baby steps, careful not to fall,
Bumps and bruises, broken is my wall.
Isn't there anyone good , out there, at all?
