The New Year's Baby Winked
A poem about the birth of a child and of life on the New Year's Day.

Night spills in the sky
While men play with fire
Flames jump into the air
Lighting the dark world around

Streets begin chanting
While white stars begin falling
Flames explode high above
Expanding with a loud, cracking sound

A woman screams
While a child escapes her womb
The hands of a clock strike 12
Beginning a life and a spirit anew
