STARFISH ON THE GREYSTONES
Walk the eastern coast at Greystones See the Irish Sea at play Its uninviting grey green waters Called me to its cresting waves A trillion stones upon its shores All shades of grey and white But I cannot leave...they beckon me To walk the sands 'till night And throwing back each starfish I find stranded on the shore Gives me peace and comfort A key to some locked door A trillion reasons you may have For never loving me But I have no rhyme or reason Why I can't stop loving thee... So instead I save the starfish Perfect their points of five If nothing else I have done this day I have kept their light alive...
