TO BE A SOLDIER I wanted to be a soldier so all our children could be free, hoping they’d never have to fight to live in lands of liberty. ~ War still continues to take lives from the defenders of our land. Terrorists would make mockery of the freedom for which we stand. ~ Now the nation’s young come forward and make me proud as I can be as they fight for the higher ground to better defend you and me. ~ Some still want to be a soldier with peace upon this world at stake knowing that it’s the only way some small difference they can make. ~ If no one would be a soldier, an end of freedom we could face; the finish to our existence, the liberated human race. 1/1/07 Monty 8 syllable QT
