The time is now

With you, with me, and they we see
I draw my sword, refuse to flee
They come, they come, and fall to bleed
Slaves of fear, and oppressions greed
Why not the faith of that tiny seed
Spring comes, and flowers as it shows its light
The stalwart warriors against the night
By ones and twos, exponential growth
Sentient awareness of the truth
Not to think, or face that venal tide
Abject fear, cringing as they hide
Where be that warrior with the heart
For whom death is preferred ere they play a part
Damn you, to them, don’t you bow your head
For when you do you’re as good as dead
The future starts here on this day
When you see the children, what can you say
