Who's That Knocking On My Door?
A poem about someone who's a little eccentric.

"Who's that knocking on my door,
is it you my love, the only man that I adore
or is Peter Pan in disguise, pretending that
he's you, oh my, oh my or is it Little Boy Blue?
I believe so because he has a sheep in his
pocket and some hay on his clothes."
Say he came to blow his horn loud until
the break of day, but his clothes are
all wet from lying under the hay."

"He went home to change his clothes because he
looked such a mess, but someone knocked
again and I couldn't believe what my eyes witness next.
It was Billy Boy Charming looking for some fun. He had
a daze look on his face and a bottle of rum.
I wondered where he came from and where he had been
said he was looking for a place to sleep and a bottle of gin.
I was happy to see him, but he had to go, or the neighbors
would've thought that this was the funny farm you know"!

"I didn't mind those zany interruptions because my heart is right,
but Humpty came through and gave me a terrible fright!
Someone knocked on my door and he was sure looking fine,
got out of a rolls royce and that's no lie, but much to my
dismay and total surprise, it was flimsy Humpty Dumpty in disguise.
Said he was looking for some love and a bottle beer, but he fell down
the stairs and left me in tears. He broke into a million
pieces and that's not all, he asked me to put him together
and drive him to the mall.

"Who's that knocking on my door,
is it you my love the only man that I adore,
but why did you keep me guessing and wondering why
if it was really you or one of those pesky guys?"

"I'm glad that's you and not someone else.
Come let us shower and take our rest.
Lets dream about tomorrow and the happiness we share.
Please take me in your arms and hold me near."

Who's that knocking on my door? Is it you my love
the only man that I adore, but why did you keep me guessing
and wondering why? You're the only man I love and you're my guy."
