Silence
My first poem that I wrote when I was sixteen.

She sits alone in silence,
staring at the wall.
The tears streaming down her face,
make no sound at all.

Her heart is beating rapidly.
Thoughts race through her mind.
The answer to this tragedy,
she just can't seem to find.

Physically it's all over
but her mind has not escaped.
So, how can she tell the man she loves
"Honey, I've just been raped."
