Apology
Hello again my dear old friend, I often think of you. We used to be like sisters when your secrets I once knew. We'd hide away inside my room, upon my princess bed. All rosy cheeked, in lacey pink, we'd dream with naive heads. I vowed to be a harbor, safe for feelings that we shared. But somewhere on life's darkened seas a storm was in the air. Remember when I found new friends and left you in the dark? Your brilliance seemed to burst to black as if a dying star. It was a dirty shame, the way our bond, so young, did end. Throughout the years, I've tried to find a way to make amends. I miss you precious Innocence. Here's my apology. Between the pages of my mind, I'll press your memory.
