LITTLE WHITE MOTH.

Why is grass always greener on the other side of the fence?
Why must we venture out to a place that has no defence,
'Gainst the pitfalls and mishaps, disappointments and woes?
And leave us no option but to be victim to our foes.

Little white moth, don't bang your head on the pane,
The light is inviting, but you need to refrain.
If I open the window and let you in here,
You'll be lost from your loved ones, and they need you, dear.

For when I get sleepy and decide to retire,
These lights must go out, there's no fuel for your fire.
When it's bedtime for me, and the light is much dimmer,
The geckos come out in search of their dinner.

You are quick and alert, but so are they, too,
And what they are after for mealtime is you.
So, stay on "The Other Side", don't feel you've been beaten,
You'll be better off there than inside here, eaten!
