Notes: "Take It Off" expresses the feelings of a lonely man who attends a strip club. He goes to the club to converse, to interact with somebody, anybody, even if he must pay for it.
Take It Off!
Hot lights, hot music.
You've got it now but, soon you'll lose it.
Perfumed skin, leather and lace
Long blonde hair, an angel’s face
On Lonely Street
Slow touch, slow smile,
Makes me want to stay awhile.
Take it off, I long for the sight,
Lend me a dream for the empty night
On Lonely Street.
Street tough, street sleazy,
Shake it slow, take it easy.
Take my money; got to make it pay,
Make it last for another day
On Lonely Street.
Lonely crowds, crowded minds,
I fetch my coat; dreams left behind.
Leaving alone, too broke to stay,
Night is cold when I feel this way
On Lonely Street.
