Finding My Way

Got a load of troubles.
Got a load of woe.
Can't make up my mind.
to stay or go.

Hate these winters with the snow and frost;
Going to point my feet toward that Southern Cross.
Going to travel, hope I don’t get lost,
Seek my fortune no matter the cost.
I may take a car, a bus, or a plane;
Perhaps, I’ll just sit here and wait for rain.

Got a phone that whistles,
Got a phone that sings.
Maybe, I'll hit the road,
Before someone rings.

I was meant to live in a world of the mind.
I can’t take the toil of this daily grind.
A wandering dreamer with thoughts of wonder,
Got to find out what its like over yonder.
Got to make my mark before I die;
Perhaps, I’ll lay back and gaze at the sky.

Got a head full of plans.
Got a head full of schemes.
Can’t take this rat race.
Must follow my dreams.

When does it end, where did it begin?
What’s it all for, can I do it again?
Life is a puzzle, pieces don’t fit.
I’m at a loss what to do with it.
I’ve got to decide, I’ve got to choose;
I can’t seem to shake these wondering blues.

Got some women who love me.
Got one who will wear my ring.
I know I don’t deserve her love.
For her I’d do most anything.

I’m a painter of pictures, a wandering muse,
I love to hear those traveling blues.
A walk through the forest, sun at my back,
puts my mind at ease, I’m on the right track.
Sky is clear, hawks circling above.
I’m travelling back to the one I love.
