It's your little boy's birthday.
Struggling with the absence of a child.

It’s your little boy’s birthday,
Why can’t you see?
He wants you to be there,
He needs you to be.

It’s not about you,
Or what you feel inside.
That ended the day,
You blessed him with life.

It wasn’t your decision,
That much is true.
But just because he’s gone,
Doesn't mean you’re through.

He loves you no matter what,
The other folks say,
And I’m willing to bet,
He’ll tell you some day.

So run if you want,
But it will only delay,
The pain and the hurt,
He'll reveal some day.
