Every night I'd fly out of sight. I'd soar in the sky I have my reasons why. Just an escape From every mistake. I run and I cease Any moment of peace. I look in your eyes Beyond the disguise. And for a moment I'm safe Held tightly in your embrace. Your love is so kind But your heart is so blind. I need wings of my own To break this prison of stone. I can't ever take your hand Please try to understand. Until all forgive and forget I'm chained with regret. So if God gave me wings to fly I wouldn't ask why. I'd fly out of sight That very same night. I'd soar in the sky To forget my reasons why.
