Today I have been
wandering in pain
wondering why
you don't feel the same.

The world is a place
of hopes and fears;
I think of these
as my eyes fill with tears.

When will I be
what he wants to see
a girl with a smile
whose worth his while.

I know in my heart
that i shouldn't fall apart;
but now I feel small
and not worth him at all.

Each day passes by
and he doesn't know
how long I've been waiting
for his love to show.

So here I am
alone in my room
wondering if I
will see him soon.

It's hopeless, I know,
for he has moved on;
but I will wait
until the sun's final dawn
